I was lounging on the beach when the light shifted in the late afternoon sun infusing the log lounging next to me with a golden glow. Last week I ventured out to Cottonwood Canyon on California's central coast. The hills were alive with intense color. Hop onboard for a virtual drive.....  As we approached the canyon we began to see colors.   First yellow, then orange. Soon entire hills were covered   right next to us, and on the hills in the distance.

I just finished these.    I hadn't painted for a while, so I thought a mini surfboard series would be a good warm up. I've been working with the surfboard form for several years now. I love tools, the simpler the better, & surfboards are about as clean & simple as they come.
